I'm really quite enjoying Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Good old fashioned scifi death robots that you wouldn't mind givin' a "How's your Father?" if you get my drift. However, as many of you know. I am a stickler for continuity. In the first season of TTSCC the good Terminator, Summer Glau, takes Sarah and John to a bank vault where they hastily put together a time machine and plasma rifle while being persued by an evil robot. Just as they activate the time machine the bank vault gets torn down by the evil robot, they shoot the evil robot as the blue glow of time travelin' electricity surrounds them in a field. The bad Terminator blows up, and his skull chrome skull flies through the field as they jump 8 years into the future. With the head of the bad robot though they don't realise it. A Terminator in the future timeline finds the chrome skull and downloads all the vital information from it. Here's my problem. In the original Terminator Kyle Reece and Urnuld both travel back through time, showing up buck naked. Kyle tells Sarah something to the effect that only organic tissue can travel back through time, thusly the evil robot is surrounded in the stuff, and that weapons can't come back either. If this is the case then there is a huge HUGE whole in continuity with the TV show because a frickin' robot head just slid 8 years into the future. The only thing I can think of is that maybe this "rule" of theirs that they made up (which makes little to no sense anyways) doesn't apply to moving forward through time...only backwards. Anyways I couldn't sleep at all last night because I grew angry. Tags: kristanna loken, shirley manson, summer glau, terminator the sarah connor chronicles, tilfs
